More than 500 million people around the world live in menstrual poverty.
Without access to menstrual products, hygiene conditions, or education about their bodies, menstruation becomes a cause of exclusion, shame, and risk. Worldwide, 10% of people who menstruate do not have access to menstrual products.
GIOCUP® was created as a response to tackle the social impact of period poverty. We want to be the bridge between quality and access, between technology and empathy. We want to reach places where no one has reached before, with a menstrual cup that is inclusive, durable, and dignified.
Menstrual poverty is a matter of human rights and social equity.
All people who menstruate should have access to healthy menstrual products and have the right to manage their period with dignity, without any form of exclusion or social risk.
We want to be recognized as a leading brand in menstrual dignity, not only for a product but for a purpose. An example of female entrepreneurship with real social impact. We want to be present in schools, health centers, refugee camps, and communities where access to hygiene is still a privilege. Above all, we want future generations – from all social backgrounds – to break free from taboos, educate themselves, and better understand their bodies, so they can make conscious decisions about themselves and others.
We dream of a future where menstruation is natural, free from guilt or shame. Where all women, adolescents, and people who menstruate have access to safe products and education about their bodies.
