We support organizations that fight menstrual poverty and promote health education in vulnerable contexts, as well as causes that support social inclusion and the environment.
We work with collaboration platforms that mobilize local agents to expand the impact of our actions.
Part of the sales is allocated to programs that distribute menstrual cups in underserved communities, and we want to continue expanding this support network.
On October 11, 2025, pelvic physiotherapist Marta Sardinha departed on a volunteer mission to São Tomé, as part of a mission with the Shalom Baptist Association and the Missions Department of the Portuguese Baptist Convention.
She carried with her not only knowledge for talks on women’s intimate health, but also a clear purpose: to help combat menstrual poverty, a reality that still affects many women and young girls in São Tomé. The lack of menstrual products and the difficulties in maintaining proper hygiene make daily life even harder for these women, compromising not only their dignity but also their health.
It was against this backdrop that GIOCUP® joined the cause, donating 50 reusable menstrual cups, which Marta handed out directly to women in São Tomé.
A small gesture with a huge impact: restoring dignity, tackling the shortage of period products and improving women’s intimate health. GIOCUP® thus remains committed to the values that guide all its actions: equality, inclusion, sustainability, solidarity and women’s empowerment.
Uma Causa por Dia joined forces with the association MEERU – Abrir Caminho to support the integration of migrants and refugees in Portugal. People who come from other countries deserve dignity, respect, and opportunities to start again.
With the support of GIOCUP®, it was possible to produce the charity book “Today I’m Going to Fly! The Journey of a Refugee”, written by Diana Reis and illustrated by Diana and Maria Reis Rocha. The book is based on the stories of dozens of migrants and refugees supported by MEERU in Portugal.
The book aims to raise awareness about the refugee cause, bringing the difficult journey of a refugee searching for freedom to children and adults in a gentle and accessible way.
All the proceeds from this launch go to @meeru.abrircaminho, an organization that walks side by side with refugees and migrants, promoting relationships of closeness, friendship, and trust.
