Created by two women entrepreneurs, GIOCUP® was born from the desire to change the world, starting with the place where we belong.
Our mission
Menstrual dignity is not a luxury. It's a right!
GIOCUP®'s mission is to promote menstrual dignity, inclusion and freedom of choice, and to end the shame associated with menstruation, through a comfortable, soft and hygienic cup, refined yet accessible to every woman, regardless of her background, social status, age or circumstances.
We also want to raise awareness of today's problems and help change behaviours, so that together we can build a better future for girls and women.
We need to make more conscious decisions: one cup that, in normal conditions and with proper care, lasts up to 10 years replaces years of disposable pads and tampons.

We support those who pave the way
Together for São Tomé
On 11 October 2025, pelvic physiotherapist Marta Sardinha left to volunteer in São Tomé, as part of a mission with the Associação Baptista Shalom and the Missions Department of the Portuguese Baptist Convention.
She brought with her the knowledge to give talks on women's health and a clear purpose: to help fight period poverty. It was in this context that GIOCUP® joined the cause, donating 50 reusable menstrual cups that Marta handed directly to the women.
Cabo Verde
Em Cabo Verde, a GIOCUP® juntou-se à Associação Amara Cabo Verde para fazer chegar copos menstruais a mulheres e raparigas sem acesso a produtos de higiene menstrual.
Funciona como em todas as nossas missões: nós doamos, e a associação parceira trata do transporte e da entrega no terreno, porque quem conhece as comunidades é quem lá está. A missão está cumprida, os copos foram entregues.
Leiria, depois da tempestade Kristin
Leiria também é a nossa cidade. Na sequência da tempestade Kristin, muitas famílias do distrito ficaram sem acesso a bens essenciais, e mesmo que o nosso edifício não tenha sido afetado, não quisemos ficar de fora. Acreditamos que a dignidade menstrual também é uma necessidade básica.
Entregámos à Câmara Municipal de Leiria, para distribuição, 300 copos menstruais doados, para apoiar quem mais precisa de produtos de higiene feminina. Desde o primeiro dia o nosso propósito foi claro: ser mais do que um produto e gerar impacto real na comunidade. Continuamos disponíveis para apoiar quem precisar. Juntos fazemos a diferença.
Uma Causa por Dia × MEERU
Uma Causa por Dia teamed up with the association MEERU, Abrir Caminho, to support the integration of migrants and refugees in Portugal.
With GIOCUP®'s support, it was possible to bring to life the charity book "Hoje vou voar! A viagem de uma pessoa refugiada" (Today I'm going to fly! A refugee's journey), written by Diana Reis and illustrated by Diana and Maria Reis Rocha. All proceeds from the launch go to MEERU.
CNP Girls, Clube Naval Povoense
A GIOCUP® patrocina durante um ano a equipa juvenil feminina de bodyboard do Clube Naval Povoense, na Póvoa de Varzim. São seis atletas que treinam todo o ano e que em 2026 chegaram à final do Mundial feminino.
Apoiá-las é apoiar duas coisas em que acreditamos: raparigas que ocupam o seu lugar no desporto, e um mar que continue a valer a pena. Com o código GIOCNP, quem compra tem 10% de desconto e 10% dessa venda reverte para a equipa.
Nepal, Himshikhara Socio Cultural Society
Assumimos publicamente o compromisso de enviar 15 copos menstruais do tamanho 0 à Himshikhara Socio Cultural Society, em Katmandu, no Nepal. É a única missão em que somos nós a organizar e a pagar o transporte, em vez de o entregar a uma organização parceira.
O envio ainda não partiu, e é por isso que contamos esta história enquanto ela acontece, e não depois de estar feita.
